Dear New Horizons High School Community,

It is with great pleasure and excitement that I welcome you to New Horizons High School (NHHS). My name is Becky Hitchman, and I am both honored and humbled to serve as the Principal of this exceptional school. With over two decades of experience in the Pasco community, I am deeply committed to our students' success and well-being.

At NHHS, our primary goal is to provide a rich and inclusive learning environment where rigorous instruction goes hand in hand with the social and emotional growth of every student. Whether our students are engaged in virtual or in-person learning, we are dedicated to ensuring that each one feels valued, supported, and empowered.

I have the privilege of working alongside an extraordinary team of educators and staff members who share a common passion for fostering a love of learning. We pride ourselves on employing innovative teaching practices and creating a strong sense of belonging within our school community. NHHS offers a wide array of resources to address the diverse needs of our students, ensuring their success in school and beyond.

Central to our educational approach is collaboration. Our teachers regularly come together in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to tailor their instructional methods to meet the unique needs of each student. By engaging our students in rigorous and meaningful learning experiences, we empower them to excel in all academic areas.

Our expertise lies in recognizing the individuality of each remarkable student and equipping them with the skills required to achieve their personal goals beyond high school. Our ultimate mission is to continually develop and implement innovative practices that cater to the diverse needs of our students, while nurturing an environment that encourages them to take an active role in their own educational journey.
